About Event
Data mining is a collection of techniques for efficient discovery of understandable and interesting patterns through large databases. The patterns may be used in an enterprise’s decision making process. Different kinds of techniques and methods are needed to find different kinds of patterns. Data mining tasks can be classified into summarization, classification, clustering, association, sequence discovery and trend analysis. Today, data mining is used in a wide area of applications in business and in science. This workshop aims to bring together researchers with the objectives to present data mining tools and exchange ideas on how to promote the use of tools in the field of data mining. The participants will have hands-on experience in tools like WEKA, R and MATLAB which are used in data mining research and development. The workshop is intended to help faculty members, research scholars and professionals working in industry in sharpening their skills through data mining tools.
